IACUC Training

Required

To participate in activities using animals, you must complete:

• Basic Training Program for Animal Users, the IACUC online training module. This requires ID authentication and is restricted to University of Illinois faculty, students and staff.
• Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Training. This requires ID authentication and is restricted to University of Illinois faculty, students and staff.
• Complete a Health Screening Questionnaire
• Depending on the project, Biological Safety Training
• Procedure training provided by the PI or by DAR

The life of a protocol is an on-line overview of the IACUC protocol submission and review process. Several available in-person training presentations by IACUC staff are described and these can be arranged through the IACUC office.
